Frank Werner: Picking up the rig
 Art of Deception
 A profile of Frank Werner

Frank Werner, frequent contributor to Wildfowl Carving Magazine, was the focus of a recent article featured in the Idaho Arts Quarterly, December 9, 2009.

The article, Art of Deception: Decoy carving according to Frank Werner by Anna Demetriades, offers an overview of Frank's background and describes how he came to carve his first decoy. It also shares some of Frank's philosophy and approach to creating artful wildfowl decoys.

Strong opinions and sometimes controversial views often mark Frank's writing, but he always seems to hit a point worth considering. Frank thinks outside the box and is always willing to discuss his points with anyone who dares.

Frank lives in the small town of St. Maries in northern Idaho where his Internet access is limited. But, the good news is that he'll soon be online with the convenience of e-mail. Get ready!
