Mission

The Oregon Waterfowl Festival Association is a non-profit organization committed to the fulfillment of youth related waterfowling activities, regional habitat improvement and overall enhancement of the waterfowling experience for all related interest groups. Required funding and supportive resources will be raised through festival activities, sponsor donations and contributions from corporate and individual benefactors. Over the past 12 years, over $40,000.00 has been raised and donated to Ducks Unlimited and youth involvement projects.

Events

The Oregon Waterfowl Festival is a fun filled weekend dedicated to those that love and pursue waterfowl. The Festival is a family event in its 13th year. For the hunter there are many vendors featuring the newest in waterfowling equipment and boats. For the callers there is a multitude of calling contests. The finale of the calling contest is the selection of the Oregon State duck and goose calling champions. These calling champions will be able to compete in there prospective national championship contests events. AN IWCA sanctioned decoy contest will take place over the weekend. The decoy contest is proud to sponsor the IWCA “Young Guns” and “Working Decoy” championships. In addition the decoy contest will include “Floating Decoratives”, “Style Decoy”, and a Three Bird Miniature “Shootin’ Rig” contest. There will be a purchase award for Style Decoy and the Three Bird Rig. The popular boat blind contest is open to all comers that have a floating duck blind of any size. Prizes will be awarded for the best in each category. Other events include fishing & hunting swap meet, silent/oral auctions, raffles/prizes. There will be retrieving dog contest for any owner and dog that wish to enter.

Activities

Weekend camping is available at the fairgrounds facility. Free kids decoy painting as will as the ever popular “Kidsville” will be back again for 2013. Saturday evening will feature the duck camp BBQ and raffles.
